UK 1971-1990s Machin Definitives, SG 844-849, 8 Pages of Mainly British Stamps
Description
A collection of stamps across 8 pages of mainly British stamps, primarily featuring the decimal Machin definitive series. The lot includes various denominations including 1p crimson, 2p dark green, 2 1/2p rose-pink, 3p ultramarine, and 3 1/2p olive-grey. The stamps are presented in multiple configurations including vertical strips of 5, strips of 3, pairs, and individual singles. These issues were produced using the photogravure printing method on phosphor-treated paper with standard perforation 15 x 14. The assortment includes catalogued types SG 844, SG 846, SG 847, SG 848, and SG 849.
Condition report:
Mint condition throughout. The stamps appear to be mint never hinged (MNH) with full original gum, although some examples may be mint hinged (MH) given the album presentation. Centering varies from fine to very fine across the multiples and singles. Perforations are generally intact and well-defined. The colours remain fresh and vibrant with no evidence of foxing, toning, or environmental damage. No visible thins, creases, or tears were noted during inspection.
