Description
A varied collection of vintage costume jewellery primarily in the Scottish Revival and Celtic styles. The lot comprises numerous brooches, pendants, bracelets, and necklaces. The pieces are constructed from silver-toned and gold-toned base metals featuring intricate knotwork, engraving, and bezel-set embellishments. Decorative elements include multi-coloured cabochons that appear to be agate, carnelian, and amethyst-coloured glass, alongside faux-pearl and enamel accents. Notable items include several penannular and circular Celtic brooches, a decorative panel bracelet with Greek key motifs and a central light-coloured cabochon, a cord bracelet set with a large purple faceted stone, and a large Celtic cross pendant. Several pieces exhibit the design characteristics of makers such as Miracle. No hallmarks are visible; items appear to be base metal. Measurements: Brooches approximately 25mm to 55mm in diameter; bracelets approximately 180mm to 200mm in length.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall good vintage condition. There is visible surface wear, minor scratches, and tarnish to the metal surfaces consistent with age and use. All stones appear to be present and securely set. Pin assemblies and bracelet clasps appear to be in working order.
