Lot 161:
Unmarked German Style, Pair of Bisque Porcelain Pastoral Figurines
Description
This lot comprises a pair of hand-painted bisque porcelain figurines depicting young girls in pastoral settings. One figurine features a young girl with blonde hair and a blue hair ribbon, wearing a blue-trimmed white dress and white socks, cradling a bird, likely a dove, to her chest. She stands on a textured, earth-toned base. The second figurine depicts a young girl in rural attire, wearing a wide-brimmed yellow straw hat and a dress with floral patterns and a pink apron, shown holding a long, curved staff. Both figurines are crafted from matte-finished bisque porcelain with hand-painted details in a soft colour palette. The undersides of both figurines are hollow and unmarked, with no visible factory marks, model numbers, or decorator signatures. Height: 21 cm to 22 cm.
Condition report:
The figurines appear to be in good overall condition. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or professional repairs visible. Delicate portions, including the bird\'s wings and the staff, appear intact. There is some minor surface soiling and light wear consistent with age and display.
