Chipperfield and Butler, Engraved, Cased Fish Service for Six and Souvenir Spoons, Silver Plate and Ivorine
Description
A vintage cased fish service for six by Chipperfield and Butler, Sheffield, comprising six knives, six forks, and a matching serving pair. The pieces feature decorative engraved foliate patterns to the blades and tines, fitted with cream-coloured ivorine handles. The serving blade is marked for the maker and Made in England. Also included is a boxed set of twelve silver-plated souvenir spoons, each featuring a unique cast motif on the handle terminal.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. The ivorine handles show light, even patina consistent with age. Metal surfaces show minor scratches and light wear. The fish service is housed in a fitted, velvet-lined presentation case with minor exterior shelf wear. The souvenir spoons show surface tarnishing and are presented in a simple satin-lined cardboard box. No monograms present.
