Description
A varied collection of eight contemporary studio art glass items featuring various hand-working techniques. The group is highlighted by a Heron iridescent lily pad paperweight of compressed ovoid form, featuring a vibrant petrol-blue and green lustre finish and applied silvered metal frog mount. Also included is a frosted glass floral form in graduated pink and blue tones, signed David Traub to the underside. The collection further comprises a miniature hand-blown teapot with pink and white latticino-style swirling; a frosted glass animal figurine; a paperweight with detailed yellow and blue lampwork floral inclusions; a paperweight with internal pink floral lampwork; a clear glass paperweight with controlled bubble inclusions; and a tall, slender clear glass decorative piece containing internal pink and white ribbon-like swirls, bearing an inventory label numbered 6182. Techniques displayed include hand-blowing, lampwork, internal inclusions, and iridescent finishes. Iridescent paperweight approximately 10cm diameter, tall swirl piece approximately 18cm height.
Condition report:
All items appear to be in good overall condition. No visible chips, cracks, or significant surface scratches. The silvered mount on the Heron paperweight is secure. Minor shelf wear to the undersides consistent with age and display.
