Beswick, Collection of Five Animal Figurines
Description
A collection of five glazed ceramic animal figurines manufactured by the English pottery firm Beswick. The lot features a Budgerigar (Model No. 1216) in blue and grey perched on a floral branch, marked Beswick England 1216 Budgie; a Middle White Boar Champion Boy 53rd (Model No. 1453) with green factory backstamp; a seated Bulldog in brown and white glaze with gold-tone foil label and impressed mark; a playful puppy in golden-brown glaze with a red collar, stamped to the paws; and a miniature Mallard duckling marked England. The pig figurine currently bears an auction lot sticker 6182. Height of budgerigar approximately 18cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in good vintage condition. The Middle White Boar figurine exhibits significant age-related crazing throughout the glaze. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs were noted upon visual inspection.
