Goebel, Hummel Figurines A Helpful Friend, Book Worm and Playmates
Description
A group of three vintage hand-painted porcelain figurines produced by Goebel in the iconic M.I. Hummel style, manufactured in West Germany. The set includes A Helpful Friend (Hummel No. 139) showing a boy reading with a dog, featuring a blue stylised bee mark and incised model number. Book Worm (Hummel No. 8) depicts a girl reading a book, bearing the Goebel V and bee factory mark. Playmates (Hummel No. 58/0) features a boy with rabbits, marked with the incised model number, blue factory mark, and black decorator’s initials. Heights approximately 4 to 5 inches.
Condition report:
A Helpful Friend is in good condition with an inventory sticker and adhesive residue on the base. Book Worm has a visible chip to the front outer edge of the circular base. Playmates is in good vintage condition with minor shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim. No other chips, cracks, or repairs are present.
