A Mid-20th-Century Sol-Fable British Made Foldable 1940s Table
Description
A mid-20th-century British-made foldable 1940s table manufactured by Sol-Fable. The piece is constructed from dark-stained wood and features a rectangular top with a corresponding lower shelf. The structure utilises a mechanical folding action supported by four square legs. The underside of the tabletop is impressed with the maker mark SOL-FABLE REGD BRITISH MADE and includes a patent number. Two original paper labels are affixed to the underside, providing detailed operating instructions for the folding mechanism.
Condition report:
The table is in fair vintage condition. There are visible surface scratches and wear to the finish throughout, consistent with age and utilitarian history. The original paper labels exhibit some losses and wear.
