Description
A pair of traditional landscape paintings, likely oil on board. The first depicts a pastoral scene with a windmill and cottage by a waterway, executed in a muted colour palette. The second, a larger composition, shows a rustic cottage on a wooded hillside. Both are presented in ornate gilt-finished wooden frames with wide inner mounts. Larger frame 55cm x 35cm, smaller frame 40cm x 25cm.
Condition report:
The smaller piece shows significant water damage and foxing to the lower-left section of the mount. Both frames exhibit age-related wear, minor abrasions, and surface darkening. The artworks appear stable but require professional cleaning and re-mounting.
