A mid-century Goebel porcelain smoke eater, also known as a Rauchverzehrer, modeled as a terrier dog holding a folded orange and brown umbrella in its mouth. The figure is finished in a mottled brown and tan glaze to simulate fur, featuring dark brown eyes and a vibrant orange-glazed interior. The construction includes a hollow interior with a ventilation hole, designed to function as a perfume lamp or smoke consumer. The underside features an unglazed foot rim with impressed numbers 29 / 2 and a small blue hand-painted mark.
