A Mid-Century Style Gilt Sunburst Wall Mirror
Description
A single decorative wall mirror executed in the miroir soleil or sunburst style, consistent with designs from the Mid-Century Modern or Hollywood Regency period. The piece features a central circular mirror plate surrounded by an elaborate, radiating frame. The frame material is composition or wood, finished with a textured gold-tone paint application that incorporates intentional dark patination in the recesses to achieve an aged aesthetic. The rays alternate between sharply pointed and flowing, flame-like shapes. The circular inner rim is detailed with a repeating scalloped or shell motif. A small white inventory sticker marked 8187 is visible on the surface of the mirrored glass.
