A Collection of 62 Dresden-Style Polychrome Ceramic Floral Sprays and Figural Items
Description
A large collection of 62 individual small decorative items, predominantly composed of hand-painted glazed ceramic or porcelain. The pieces are executed in a polychrome floral style, characteristic of 20th-century cottage ware or Dresden flower applications. The majority of the collection consists of intricate floral sprays featuring various blossoms, including roses, pansies, and forget-me-nots, many of which appear to have fittings on the reverse suggesting their original use as brooches, pins, or decorative embellishments. The collection also includes several distinct figural items, such as a white ceramic clog or slipper holding a pink floral spray, and several small, patterned snail forms. One yellow floral piece is presented inside a small, open, black jewelry box. The items are displayed in a red plastic tray resting on a black textured surface. A small white label marked 6182 is visible near the front edge of the tray.
