Moorcroft Pottery Hibiscus Pattern Covered Bowl
Description
A single Moorcroft Pottery covered bowl in the Hibiscus pattern. This two-piece ceramic dish, likely earthenware, features a round form with a corresponding flat lid topped by a small, olive-green knob finial. The piece is finished in a glossy olive-green glaze and decorated with large, stylized applications of orange-red hibiscus flowers and green foliage, characteristic of mid-century Moorcroft design. Visible marks on the underside of both the bowl and the lid include partial stamps, with the phrase “MADE IN ENGLAND” clearly legible, consistent with Moorcroft production.
