A Pair of Okra and Murano Style Hand Blown Art Glass Vases
Description
A pair of hand blown art glass vases, including one attributed to the style of Okra Art Glass and one in the style of mid-century Murano or Venetian glass. The first vase, consistent with the Okra vase attribution, is of globular form with a flared rim. It features an iridescent luster finish applied over a textured, mottled pattern primarily in shades of teal, blue, and deep purple. The second item, reflecting the 60s vase style, is a taller, slender vase of clear art glass constructed with internal vertical stripes, or canes, displaying the colors green, clear, and red, suggesting the Italian tricolore palette. This vase is topped with a dramatically ruffled or fluted rim. A rectangular white sticker with the handwritten numbering 9245 is affixed to the side of the taller vase.
