A Collection of 4 Vintage Decorated Tinplate Containers and Tins
Description
A collection of four vintage decorated tinplate containers, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century. The largest item is a dome-topped chest or deed box constructed of tinplate, featuring a brown and gold painted ground decorated with colorful folk-art style floral transfer prints set within framed panels. A small sticker marked G182 is present on the lid of this chest. The second item is a medium rectangular tin decorated with blue and cream panels. This tin is inscribed Milady REG Toffee of Quality and WALLER & HARTLEY LTD. BLACKPOOL. ENGLAND. The third item is a square tin with a red border and gilt scrollwork surrounding a circular, aged, highly reflective insert, likely a mirror.
