Antique Victorian Tiger Oak Single Door Display Cabinet with Marquetry Pediment
Description
A single antique display cabinet, attributed to the Victorian or Early 20th Century period, constructed primarily of oak, consistent with the “Tiger Oak” designation found in comparable market examples. The cabinet features a single glazed door secured by a brass-toned latch. The structure is characterized by dark-stained wood and extensive light-toned marquetry inlay, particularly visible on the upper frieze and the scalloped pediment. The pediment decoration includes scrolling foliage surrounding a central stylized urn motif. The interior is fitted with four glass shelves, creating five display levels, and the back and sides are lined with a textured, light-colored material. A white inventory sticker bearing the number 6182 is affixed beneath the pediment.
