1980s Postmodern Tessellated Mactan Stone and Glass Top Console Table
Description
A Postmodern Tessellated Mactan Stone and Glass Top Console Table, dating from the 1980s. This console or side table features a rectangular glass top supported by two robust, irregularly shaped blocks of light-colored, rough-hewn Mactan stone. Integrated into the base of each stone support is a single fluted metal column, appearing to be polished silver-toned metal such as aluminum or chrome, resting on a round base. The design combines rustic, naturalistic stone elements with classical architectural detailing and a modern glass surface. Visible markings include a faint blue inscription, possibly “C.806” or “L.806,” on the top surface of the left stone block, and a white rectangular label displaying “143” along with other faded text on the right stone support.
