A Vintage Hand-Knotted Oriental Rug
Description
A small, hand-knotted square-format rug or mat, likely crafted with a wool pile and cotton foundation, indicative of a traditional tribal or village style. Its design features a predominantly cream-colored field with a prominent central geometric and stylized floral medallion rendered in deep reds and greens, surrounded by complementary motifs in blues, browns, pinks, and yellows. A distinct dark blue border encloses the field with a continuous pattern of stylized flowers and leaves. White fringes are visible on at least two sides. A small white tag is affixed to the pile.
