L. Oertling, London Brass and Mahogany Cased Precision Balance Scale
Description
An L. Oertling, London precision balance scale, housed within a dark-stained wooden case, consistent with mahogany as suggested by web intelligence, featuring glass panels on the top and front. The case encloses a brass-toned metal balance mechanism with suspended pans. Below the main chamber, a single-drawer compartment contains various accessories, including several brass circular and cylindrical weights, a small glass vial, and other tools, loosely placed on crumpled paper. A white sticker on the upper right glass panel displays ‘6/82,’ and partially visible text ‘GLAS’ is present on a red and white item within the drawer.
