A Lorna Bailey hand-painted ceramic lidded jar, produced by Old Ellgreave Pottery. The flattened cylindrical form features a bold, stylized abstract design of orange, yellow, and black floral or flame-like motifs against a white ground. The lid is topped with a black knob and the body includes a rectangular slot, indicating its function as a money box or canister. The base is clearly marked with a wreath motif surrounding the text “Old Ellgreave Pottery,” “Lorna Bailey Range,” “HAND PAINTED,” and “BURSLEM ENGLAND.” The artist’s signature “Lorna Bailey” is also visible on the side.
