Description
A Victorian Tunbridge Ware box, rectangular in form, constructed from a figured wood veneer, likely burl walnut. The lid and front panel feature intricate marquetry or inlay work with central octagonal motifs and geometric borders. A brass escutcheon is present around the keyhole. The interior is lined with light blue paper or fabric. Accompanied by a composite smoking pipe, comprising a dark bowl, a light-colored wooden or bamboo stem section with a decorative metal band, and a cream-colored mouthpiece.
