A Collection of Mid-20th Century Decorative Arts
Description
A diverse collection of five decorative items. This includes a set of six colorful ceramic or porcelain figurines, possibly depicting dwarfs, arranged on a white rectangular base. Adjacent to these is a tall, ribbed white ceramic coffee or tea pot with a chrome-plated lid and a distinctive sinuous handle, indicative of a mid-20th century Art Deco or Streamline Moderne aesthetic, similar to ‘Ever Hot’ or ‘Cosmic Design Works’ designs. A squat, round ceramic teapot with a vibrant, multi-colored illustrative design, featuring houses, abstract shapes, and a black finial, also occupies the foreground. Further right, a large, sculptural green glass object with prominent black swirling stripes and a fluted texture resembles a stylized gourd or vase. Completing the arrangement is a smaller, lidded glass jar featuring a swirled pale green and white opaline pattern, topped with a clear glass finial.
