A Large Collection of Thimbles in a Display Tray
Description
A large collection of approximately 200-300 thimbles, presented within a reddish-orange, ovate plastic or rubberized display tray. The thimbles exhibit a wide variety of materials including plain and dimpled metals (silver- and brass-toned), ceramic or porcelain with diverse hand-painted or transfer-printed decorations (floral, landscape, animal, and cartoon motifs), and at least one carved wooden example. Visible textual markings include an inventory sticker “6182” on the tray’s edge, and scattered English text on some thimbles, such as “Oldies” and “Winnie the Pooh.”
