Moorcroft 'Clematis' Pattern Vase
Description
A Moorcroft ‘Clematis’ pattern vase. This small, globular ceramic vase features a flared neck and rim, rendered in a high-gloss, heavily crazed glaze. The primary ground color is a rich, mottled dark green, adorned with stylized, organic floral or fruit-like motifs in vibrant shades of pink, peach, purple, and yellow. The interior of the neck is glazed in a deep teal-blue. No maker’s marks, signatures, or other inscriptions are visible from the presented views. The aesthetic, characterized by its organic forms and jewel-toned glazes, is consistent with late 19th or early 20th-century pottery, reflecting influences from the Arts and Crafts or Art Nouveau movements. A pen, marked “O-CONNECT 0.7,” is present for scale.
Approximately 12 cm high.
