A Collection of Folk Art and Utilitarian Wooden Items, including a Tambourine and Bladed Tool, in a Crate
Description
A varied collection of items, primarily exhibiting a folk art or utilitarian craft aesthetic, housed within a black plastic crate. The collection includes a white-skinned tambourine with brass jingles and a large curved bladed tool, possibly a billhook or machete, featuring a wooden handle and a matching wooden scabbard. Also present are numerous wooden artifacts, such as a turned vase with a distinct grain, a cylindrical coin bank with a slot, and a carved, architectural-style piece resembling a cuckoo clock component, which bears a possible ‘M’ or shield-with-crown symbol. Further wooden items comprise abstract and figural carvings, a small dark wooden box with textured decoration, and a gilt metal finial attached to a wooden piece. A white tag on the crate displays ‘2E19’. A visible document below the bladed tool indicates a UK address: ‘Westwood Square, Dewsbury Road, Leeds, LS11 5SS’.
