Lot 322:
A Collection of Silver-Tone Jewellery and Assorted Metallic Objects, Early to Mid-20th Century
Description
This lot comprises a collection of assorted jewellery and small metallic objects contained within a blue box, marked with an inventory label “6182”. The items include several silver-tone chains of varying styles (snake, rolo, cable), accompanied by three pendants: a cylindrical dichroic glass piece, a square mother-of-pearl set in a silver-tone frame, and a plain cross. Also present is a silver-tone heart-shaped locket engraved with “Mum” and a rose motif accented by a small pink stone, and an intricately detailed silver-tone ring. Additional items include a small engraved silver-tone flask-like object and two coins. One coin is a smaller silver-tone piece with a starburst design, likely a British sixpence. The other larger coin is a British type, depicting a monarch’s bust and bearing the Latin inscription “D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX ET IND: IMP:”, which translates to “By the Grace of God, King of all the Britains and Emperor of India,” suggesting a period from George V or George VI (early to mid-20th century).
