A Pair of Steiff Wittie Owls
Description
A pair of Steiff Wittie owls, likely dating from the 1960s. Each figure features a classic stuffed animal style, constructed from various shades of faux fur or plush fabric in creams, browns, and grays. They have plastic or glass eyes and molded plastic beaks. The owl on the right has felt feet with stitched details and felt wing layers with brown spot patterns. A prominent red and white circular tag is attached to its chest, bearing the text ‘STEIFF-ORIGINAL-MARKE’ around the perimeter, and ‘Wittie’ centrally.
