Antique Persian Sarouk Rug
Description
An Antique Persian Sarouk rug, a rectangular woven textile with a likely wool pile. It features a dominant dark navy blue central field decorated with scattered small floral motifs and a prominent, ornate multi-lobed central medallion in shades of red, green, and brown. The field is framed by multiple borders, most notably a wide main border in a coral/peach hue adorned with repeating stylized floral and foliage patterns in dark blue, brown, red, and green, flanked by a narrow dark green guard border. Short, white knotted fringe is visible at both ends of the rug. No discernible text, signatures, or identifying markings are visible on the piece.
