Afghan Hand-Knotted Bokhara Tribal Geometric Wool Rug
Description
An Afghan hand-knotted Bokhara tribal geometric wool rug. This rectangular woven textile rug features a deep red field with predominantly geometric, angular patterns. The central design comprises two large, interconnected octagonal ‘gul’ motifs in shades of red, black, dark brown, and cream, flanked by smaller, eight-pointed star-like octagons. The field is enclosed by multiple borders displaying repeating geometric elements, including stylized “E” shapes and diamond patterns. The rug is finished with visible cream-colored fringes at both ends. The material is wool pile with cotton fringes.
