Description
A vintage Japanese Sosaku Kokeshi wooden doll. Crafted from wood, it features a cylindrical light-toned body and a distinct, oversized dark-stained head depicting a bob haircut. The minimalist face includes simple painted closed eyes and a small reddish marking for a nose or mouth. A painted gold and black V-neck collar detail adorns the neck area. The mid-section of the body is decorated with an incised and stained dark brown pattern resembling floral motifs, highlighted by thin black outlines against the natural wood. No visible text, maker’s marks, or other inscriptions are discernible.
