A Group of Antique and Vintage Vanity Items, including Five Handheld Mirrors and Three Brushes
Description
A group of antique and vintage vanity items, presented on a red rectangular tray. The assortment primarily consists of five handheld mirrors and three brushes, ranging from plain silver-toned designs to ornately detailed brass and silver-plated pieces. Stylistic elements suggest influences from Rococo or Victorian eras, particularly evident in the scrolling motifs, foliate designs, and a figural element on the handle of one brass-toned mirror. Decorative materials include painted or enameled floral designs (roses, various wildflowers) on the backs of some brushes and combs, and geometric mother-of-pearl inlay on a rectangular compact or box. Bristles on the brushes appear to be a mix of light and dark natural or synthetic fibers. Also present is a small, fluted, silver-toned metal dish, possibly an ashtray, and a small, dark ornate metal object. Visible markings include a handwritten “6” and the word “Mirror” on a tag attached to one silver-toned brush, and a white sticker on the tray bearing the numbers “61 82”.
