A Group of Five Assorted Decorative Boxes
Description
A group of five distinct decorative and utility boxes. The collection includes an open, dark red lacquered music/jewelry box adorned with East Asian-inspired floral and butterfly motifs, featuring a mirrored interior with a dancing ballerina and small decorative elements. Adjacent to this is a rectangular wooden box with an intricate marquetry or inlaid lid displaying scrolling foliage and a central cartouche. Below, a smaller, dark reddish-brown wooden box is present, distinguished by an ornate metal escutcheon on its lid. Next to it lies another dark box with a gilded, scrolling design on its lid. Completing the grouping is a small, upright cardboard box or thick card, embellished with a pastel illustration of an angelic figure playing a harp.
