Description
This framed textile artwork features an assemblage of nine embroidered silk postcards, commonly known as “sweetheart postcards,” dating to the World War I period. Each individual postcard is adorned with lace trim and fine embroidery, some incorporating beadwork, and depicting various motifs including national flags (e.g., US, UK), floral arrangements, landscapes, and military insignia.
