A Pair of Folk Art Style Carved Wood Bird Sculptures
Description
A pair of carved wooden sculptures in a folk art style. The first sculpture depicts a natural-toned bird of prey, likely an eagle or hawk, with outstretched wings and talons gripping a sphere, all resting on a square base. The second, larger sculpture is a parrot, carved from light-toned wood with its head and back exhibiting a faded blue-grey finish, perched atop an integrated stump-like base. A white sticker adhered to the parrot’s torso reads “G12R”, “SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS”, “LOT”, and “143”. Both pieces are made of wood.
