A Pair of English Poole Pottery 'Galaxy' Lava Glaze Vases
Description
A pair of English Poole Pottery ‘Galaxy’ lava glaze vases. These ceramic vases consist of a larger, squat globular form and a smaller, similarly shaped miniature version. Both feature a matte black exterior finish adorned with irregularly shaped, glossy, ‘fat lava’-style glaze applications in shades of vibrant orange and deep red. The interior rim of both vases is a glossy black. A white sticker on the larger vase reads “SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 141,” and another smaller sticker above it displays “9010.”
