Two Vintage Carbide Bicycle Lamps
Description
Two vintage carbide bicycle lamps of metal construction with black-painted finishes. The first lamp features a cylindrical body with a brass-toned lens bezel, a red jewel side lens, and an internal green lens. A white rectangular adhesive label is applied to the lower body reading 12870. The second lamp is designed with a larger bell-shaped polished metal reflector and a green jewel side lens. Both units are constructed with a lower cylindrical reservoir for carbide and an upper water chamber fitted with a drip-regulating screw. The lamp bodies incorporate arrays of circular ventilation holes as a functional design feature. No manufacturer names or patent marks are legible on either unit.
