Two Vintage Wooden Chairs including a Child Windsor Style Armchair and a Rustic Folding Chair
Description
A lot comprising two vintage wooden chairs of differing forms. The first is a child-sized Windsor-style armchair of birdcage design, featuring a hoop back with a horizontal rail and seven vertical spindles. The chair is constructed with curved armrests on turned supports above a solid shaped seat, raised on turned legs joined by an H-stretcher. The wood is finished in a reddish-brown stain. A small white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the upper back rail, bearing the handwritten characters 2 970. No maker name is legible on the object. The second item is a rustic wooden folding chair, possibly pine, with a slatted seat and a backrest consisting of four vertical splats. It features a simple dowel-hinged folding mechanism. No marks or labels are visible on this chair.
