A Collection of Victorian and Later Ruby and Cranberry Glassware
Description
A collection of ruby and cranberry glassware featuring a variety of decorative forms from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The group includes a trumpet vase with a flared rim and circular pedestal foot, multiple baskets with clear applied handles and crimped edges, and a flower frog comprising a ruby glass bowl with a fitted wire mesh grid. Also present are several small jugs and shallow bowls with ruffled and opalescent rims, and a circular lidded jar decorated with white enameled floral and geometric motifs. One ruby glass base bears a white rectangular adhesive label printed with the text WEBBY’S AUCTIONS, LOT, 294, and GLASGOW. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the pieces.
