A Collection of Ceramic and Decorative Items including Royal and Religious Commemoratives
Description
An assortment of decorative ceramics and miscellaneous objects stored within a cardboard box. The group includes a white porcelain footed mug featuring a transfer-printed portrait of Pope John Paul II set within a yellow oval cartouche. A royal commemorative mug features a gilded rim and crest with printed text reading in part TO COMMEMORATE THE… ANN… H.M. QU… TO THE… 20th JUNE 1…. Also present is a further white porcelain mug depicting a heraldic crest with a crown and lions. The collection contains a green-glazed jug with relief-moulded leaf decoration to the exterior, a small porcelain boot-shaped vase decorated with pink floral sprays, and a miniature architectural model of a house featuring a red tiled roof. A black rectangular object with a lacquer-style finish is decorated with gilded birds and floral motifs. The lot is completed by various small creamers, white ceramic bowls, and porcelain figurines. No maker names are legible on the visible surfaces of the items.
