A Collection of Pale Blue Jasperware Decorative Items with White Bas-Relief Decoration
Description
A collection of pale blue jasperware stoneware items featuring white bas-relief neoclassical decoration. The group includes several decorative plates, two tapering vases, an oval and a circular lidded trinket box, a tea light holder with a white relief dome on a blue base, and a lidded jar fitted with a metal lighter insert. The relief motifs depict diverse scenes including classical figures and scrolling foliage borders. One commemorative plate features a central motif of a pipe organ with the year 1986. A white rectangular adhesive label on the oval box reads SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 221 01132502626. Another piece bears a small white adhesive tag with the handwritten number 12547 and an illegible symbol below. No impressed or printed manufacturer names are visible in the photograph.
