An English Watts Cowley Automatic Level and Accessories
Description
This English surveying instrument set includes a Cowley Automatic Level by Watts, housed in a hammered green enamel metal casing with an original leather carrying strap. A black and silver metal nameplate on the front features a stylized W logo and is printed COWLEY AUTOMATIC Level and WATTS. The text MADE IN ENGLAND is printed in black on the green body below the nameplate. A serial number, 12785, is stamped into the metal at the base. The instrument is accompanied by its original textured black hardshell case, which features a red velvet-lined interior and is embossed COWLEY LEVEL on the front, with MADE IN ENGLAND printed on the inner rim. The collection also includes a black zippered soft pouch and a green printed booklet. The level retains two white adhesive labels, one reading 12701 and another from SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS reading LOT 202 01132502626.
