A Collection of Vintage Britains Hollow-Cast Lead Farm Animals, Figures and Accessories
Description
A large collection of vintage hollow-cast lead farm toys, predominantly by Britains Ltd. The assortment comprises various livestock including sheep and lambs in standing and grazing poses, several pigs with spotted and solid colouring, cattle, and two horses, one of which is modelled in a harnessed pose. The set includes two human figures: a farmhand with a pitchfork and a shepherd in a long coat. Included accessories consist of multiple sections of white-painted post-and-rail fencing, a dog kennel with an accompanying dog, a birdhouse on a tall integrated stand, two milk churns, and a small wheelbarrow. Each piece is constructed from hollow-cast lead with hand-painted details. A white paper lot tag from Shelbys Auctioneers marked Lot 155 and a handwritten sticker numbered 12704 are present.
