Framed Six-Tile Tube-Lined Ceramic Floral Mural
Description
A framed ceramic mural panel composed of six individual earthenware tiles arranged in a vertical two-by-three grid. The composition depicts a bouquet of roses in shades of yellow, deep red, lavender, and pale blue emerging from a decorative cream-coloured scrolled vase. The decoration is executed using a tube-lining technique with hand-applied glazes against a deep cobalt blue ground. The tiles are mounted in a moulded dark-stained wooden frame with a narrow gilded inner slip. Two labels are attached to the lower right corner, including an auction house label from Shelly’s Auctioneers for lot 137.
