A Collection of Five Pieces of Mdina Studio Glass
Description
This collection of five pieces of Mdina studio glass, produced in Malta, features a variety of hand-blown forms. The group includes two solid spherical paperweights with cobalt blue cores, decorated with surface-applied pulled vertical trails in lime green and yellow. Also included is a decorative glass mushroom with a mottled cap of blue, white, and yellow swirls on a cobalt blue stem. A posy vase features a flared cobalt blue rim and a bulbous body with a mottled green, yellow, and blue pattern. The final piece is a rounded bottle or decanter with horizontal bands of translucent brown and clear glass, complete with its original clear spherical stopper.
Measurements: Largest spheres approximately 8 cm to 10 cm in diameter.
