A Trio of Coalport Bone China The Snowman Figurines
Description
A collection of three hand-painted bone china figurines from the Coalport Characters series, based on the characters created by Raymond Briggs for The Snowman. The group includes the Highland Fling model, depicting the Snowman in a red and black tartan kilt and sporran performing a dance alongside the Boy in a brown dressing gown and striped pyjamas. The second figure, Cowboy Joe, shows the Snowman wearing a brown Stetson-style hat, a red neckerchief, and a brown gun belt with a holster. The third figurine depicts the Snowman from the party scene, featuring a strawberry in place of a carrot nose and a sprig of greenery on his head. The undersides of the bases bear blue printed factory marks. The Highland Fling figure is inscribed First Edition and dated 2000. The Cowboy Joe figure is inscribed First Edition and dated 2005. The Snowman with Strawberry Nose figure bears the standard Coalport Characters backstamp.
