A Pair of Lladró Glazed Porcelain Figurines of Children
Description
A pair of glazed porcelain figurines manufactured by Lladró in Spain. The first figurine depicts a standing young girl with brown hair in pigtails wearing pink dungarees over a white blouse. She holds a small bird on her left hand and a bouquet of pastel flowers in her right arm, with a watering can and flower cluster situated at the base. The second figurine depicts a seated boy wearing blue trousers with brown suspenders, a white shirt, and a pink flat cap, accompanied by a small dog at his feet. Both figures are finished in the manufacturer’s signature smooth, glossy glaze with a pastel colour palette. The base of the girl figurine features the blue printed Lladró bell mark, Hand Made in Spain, and the copyright date © DAISA 1983. The base of the boy figurine features the same factory backstamp with the date © DAISA 1988. A small adhesive price tag reading 128.50 D is attached to the boy figurine.
