A Cast Stone Green Man Foliate Garden Wall Plaque
Description
A cast stone garden wall plaque depicting a Green Man foliate head. The ornament is fashioned from reconstituted stone and features a human face composed of and surrounded by stylized foliage, including oak leaves and acorns. The design includes deeply recessed eyes, a broad nose, and leaves forming the hair, beard, and moustache. The surface displays a naturally weathered grey patina with visible pitting and areas of lichen and moss growth consistent with outdoor display. A small adhesive label with the handwritten reference 12847 A is present on the front. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
