A Victorian Cranberry Glass and Brass Duplex Oil Lamp
Description
A late Victorian style oil lamp featuring a weighted brass pedestal base with a gadrooned rim. The reservoir is constructed from translucent cranberry glass. It is fitted with a brass twin-wick burner mechanism, with the name DUPLEX embossed on the adjustment wheels. The lamp is topped with a matching cranberry glass shade featuring a ruffled rim and a moulded bullseye or quilted texture. A clear glass chimney is housed within the shade. This is an unconverted oil lamp and retains its original mechanical components. A small white sticker with the printed numbers 9627 is located on the glass reservoir.
