Description
A collection of glazed ceramic tableware featuring underglaze blue transfer-printed decoration in the traditional Willow pattern. The group comprises a large oval serving platter with a shaped, scalloped rim and three graduated stacks of circular plates and saucers. The decoration depicts classic Chinoiserie motifs including pagodas, bridges, and willow trees. Several pieces feature gilded highlights to the rims, resembling the Oriental pattern produced by Ridgway. One grouping of smaller plates displays a diffused, flow blue style of transfer printing. The items are in the style of 19th and 20th-century Staffordshire production, though no maker marks are visible in the provided images.
