Cast metal L'POOL 88 MILES road distance sign
Description
A cast metal road distance sign or milestone marker of a style typical of British transport signage. The sign is rectangular with rounded corners and features raised lettering and numerals. The design consists of a white painted background with the characters L’POOL 88 MILES painted in black. It is constructed from a heavy cast metal, likely iron or aluminium. Two pre-drilled mounting holes are positioned vertically along the centre. A small adhesive paper label with the characters 7625 is located near the top mounting hole. No maker’s marks or foundry stamps are visible on the front surface.
